Dog Training for Geniuses
by: Camden Douglas
for genius hour week 3 i got some more treats and took her outside to practice some calls.
First I took her out to the end of the yard then told her to stay. I then walk back to the other side of the yard he call her to me. She responded well and didnt take many trys before she had it down pretty well. Next I took her on a leashless walk to see how well she does. On the walk she done extremely well only stoping occasionally to sniff random spots. When she would get caught up sniffing or exporing something she always cameback when I called.

this week for genius hour I went and bought some treats and began rewarding her for basic actions such as sit, speak, shake, rollover and laydown
Easter always listens when i ask her to sit, shake and rollover. Speak and rollover are what I have taught her myself so far. For my genius hour project i will be profecting my dogs skills.
Currently my dog Easter is not well trainded and I would like to be able to do basic commands calls and tricks. If all goes well my ultimate goal is to train her to help catch and round up all my chickens. Easter came from a trailor park where she was out on her own chasing cars up and down la quinta road. She is 8 years old wel behavied and house trained. |
